Candidate experience: why one secure link and a clear journey matter
Clarity before assessment reduces friction: candidates should know the stages, expected time and device requirements.
A digital assessment is not a good experience simply because it is fast. Candidates should know whether the journey contains an assessment, video, or both; the approximate time; and browser, camera and microphone requirements before they begin. One link reduces lost messages and system switching. When that link contains the employer-selected stages and a controlled expiry, candidates can complete the journey more easily and HR can track one consistent status. Provide a clear support route, allow appropriate adjustment requests and follow up within a reasonable time. Candidate experience is part of the employer brand, not a technical afterthought.
