How to run an AI video interview pilot before rolling it out

A practical way to pilot AI video interview software on a small hiring workflow before scaling it across the organisation.

YUVAIRA Redaktion

Do not roll AI video interview software across every role on day one. A limited pilot lets you discover workflow and candidate-experience problems before they become organisation-wide problems.\n\nChoose a role with clear requirements and enough candidate volume to measure time and completion. Document the current baseline first: how long does screening take, how many first-round calls are being run, what is the no-show rate, and what information does the hiring manager actually need before the next live step?\n\nThen define what the system will do and what remains human. Explain the use of the technology clearly to candidates, test the journey across devices and connection conditions, and establish a route for support or reasonable adjustment where needed.\n\nMeasure more than speed. Track analytics quality, reviewer ability to verify answers, completion rates, candidate feedback, and cases where outputs appear inaccurate, unclear or unhelpful.\n\nAt the end of the pilot, decide whether to scale, redesign the workflow or stop. A successful pilot is not one that proves AI is impressive; it is one that gives you enough analytics to decide where the technology helps and where it does not.

How many roles should be in the first pilot?

A small, clearly defined scope is easier to evaluate than an organisation-wide rollout. Start with one or a few roles where the workflow and success measures are clear.
